Go With Your Gut
They say that the gut is being recognized as the second brain. That couldn’t be any truer. Just like the brain there are millions of nerve cells around the intestines. They basically can talk back to one another. Meaning whatever affects the mind will in turn have some sort of effect on gut function. Our bellies are linked to our emotions and vice versa.
.
Do you know that your body is 90% bacteria and only 10% human?
Your body contains billions of gut microorganisms. Gut health is so important and we fail to realize its importance. That bad boy is responsible for converting what you put in your mouth into simple nutrients and delivers them to your bloodstream.
.
Your gut plays the biggest role in regulating our hormones and excreting toxins.
I used to break out really, really bad. Mainly on my back. Here and there I would break out on my face too. Acne can be debilitating, crippling, and confidence crushing. In my eyes the most important thing for curing my acne is gut health. I also eliminated ALL dairy from my diet. I have been taking probiotic gummies twice a day and my skin has never been clearer. The probiotic gummies I use daily (one with breakfast, one with dinner) are called Digestive Advantage Probiotic Gummies by Schiff.

These gummies help my gut thrive. A huge majority of our hormones are produced in our gut so when gut health is thrown off, many issues can arrive. Not only did the probiotics help with my acne but also my menstrual cycle. They became less painful and shorter. I used to have severe bloating as well. Bloating is said to be caused by improper bacteria in the intestinal tract. Where a bacterial war begins between good bacteria and bad and both end up dying. You always want to have enough good bacteria in your gut. I have and ever since I can honestly say my stomach has never looked flatter.
.
I also enjoy Kombucha drinks. My favorites are Health-Ade Kombucha, Brew Dr. Kombucha, and Revive Root beer Kombucha. They aid in digestion and gut health. Kombucha is naturally fermented with a living colony of good bacteria and yeast. Not only do they aid in digestion they aid in mental clarity and mood stability. They are usually low in calories too!

Other ways to improve gut health is to limit processed foods and eat more fiber. I purchased the Benefiber on to go packs and I love them! You can just easily add one to your water throughout the day and they have no taste to them. Stay hydrated! Staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do for your gut and overall health. Not drinking enough water slows down your digestive system significantly. Which could be why you’re having a hard time going bathroom. I had this little dilemma for far too long until I decided to do something about it. All these probiotics, fiber, and increasing my water intake has helped significantly. Your urine should remain a light straw color all day long. If it isn’t then get your water up!

Another supplement that seems to help with my gut health is Irwin Naturals Extra Strength Colon Flush. It is a great supplement that can be used to give your digestive system a quick and powerful flush to help rid yourself of harmful backed-up matter that may clog up your digestive track. Which can make you feel tired and sluggish. One pill usually does the trick for me. No it is not like an instant laxative. You usually will go the following day. One and done kind of thing. I feel flatter and happier with this pill.

We all should take high-quality probiotic supplements to help get those nutrients in your diet and stay focused on your goals. And to live a much healthier life. Hopefully this information helps even one person, you aren’t alone!
.
Keep that gut healthy and happy!
